Harold Deon Thompson is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. Harold obtained his Bachelors and Masters Degrees (both Magna Cum Laude) in Criminal Justice from Mississippi Valley State University. After graduation, Harold initially pursued a career in law enforcement.
As a law enforcement officer, Harold was able to observe the criminal justice system from its inner core. After realizing that discretion plays an important role in this system and that it is often times abused, Harold made the decision to become an attorney, and moved to Central Florida to pursue his law degree at Florida A&M College of Law.
Soon after graduating from law school, Harold chose to serve as an Assistant Public Defender in the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orlando, Florida, for several years. As a Public Defender, Harold handled thousands of cases and was highly successful in jury and non-jury trials. Harold quickly gained a reputation for his passion in the courtroom and being a vigorous advocate for each client, no matter the charges or circumstances. Harold also taught various courses in the Criminal Justice Bachelor’s Degree program at Florida Technical College.
Since joining Raised to Protect Law, Harold’s goal has remained the same: to continue providing the highest quality criminal defense, juvenile justice, civil litigation, and appellate law services to his clients. Harold shares our principles of justice and believes in helping those who need it most through professional and aggressive representation.
